SciFi Discontinues Stargate SG-1 Monday

Dark Angel Takes Its Place

The SciFi Channel has ended its run of Stargate SG-1 Monday, a stack of four episodes starting at 7pm Eastern. In its place will be Dark Angel Monday, three episodes starting at 7pm Eastern on July 10 and a regular four-episode block starting at 7pm Eastern on July 17.

Stargate SG-1 Mondays have been running for several years, giving fans the opportunity to see the hit show from the beginning. As new seasons were added, so, too, the Monday block expanded its offerings.

Currently, Season Eight of the show is in syndication, and Season Ten will make its premiere on Friday, July 14, at 9pm Eastern, followed by the Season Three premiere of spin-off Stargate Atlantis. These times are new for both shows this coming season, as Battlestar Galactica is not due to premiere until October.

Viewers can still catch the older episodes of Stargate SG-1 by tuning in weeknights at 6pm Eastern. Season Six’s “Forsaken” is next on the schedule for July 5, following the channel’s celebration of Independence Day with several days of the classic Twilight Zone and the ninth incarnation of Doctor Who.

Edited to add start dates of new block.
