Australia to Get a Sci Fi Network

As reported at News.com.au, Australia will get its own Sci Fi channel starting December 1. The network is owned by NBC Universal, CBS Paramount International Television and SONY Pictures International Television. (NBC Universal owns the US Sci Fi Network.) From the announcement:

Sci Fi will broadcast popular series including hit new series such as Medium and The 4400, plus all of the Star Trek franchise television series (original, Next Generation, Voyager, Deep Space Nine and Enterprise), Stargate, Stargate SG -1, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Farscape, The Thunderbirds and The X-Files.

We hope this means our Aussie friends will soon be able to catch up on their Stargate viewing!
