SGA S4 Spoilers: Mallozzi Reveals Episode Titles

First half of Season Four well under way

Joseph Mallozzi, Stargate Atlantis‘s new co-showrunner, has revealed the titles of some of the first episodes to the show’s fourth season. Although very few spoilers are given for to their plots, the titles of the episodes give tantalizing clues as to what is in store for the Atlantis Expedition.

On the Stargate front, I’m almost finished my rewrite of Reunion and am, admittedly, a little worried. While the script offers plenty of action, it is primarily a character-driven story. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of notes we receive from the network. The other scripts are coming along nicely. Martin [Gero] kicks off season 4 with Adrift, continuing the events of the visually stunning season-ender First Strike. Carl’s [Binder] Lifeline, the big op eppy, is next. Reunion will follow third and then – well, we’re still working that out. On the production schedule, Rob [Cooper] is first up with Doppelganger, a.k.a. N.O.A.S., assuming both writing and directing duties on this one. Alan’s [McCullough] The Seer script is being revised as we speak. And sometime soon, Monday I hear, Paul [Mullie] will have Travelers ready, a gift for all those of the Shep-whumping persuasion.

Mallozzi has stated in earlier posts that there will be an episode dedicated to each of the main characters in the first ten episodes of the season. No doubt, there will be a lot of bases to cover, as the show introduces and develops the story arcs for SG-1’s Lt. Col. Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping), the new medical doctor Dr. Keller (Jewel Staite, introduced in “First Strike”), and the new 304 commander, Col. Abe Ellis (Michael Beach, introduced in “First Strike”), as well as covering the returning Lt. Col. John Sheppard (Joe Flanigan), Dr. Rodney McKay (David Hewlett), Teyla Emmagan (Rachel Luttrell), and Ronon Dex (Jason Momoa). Noticeably absent from full-time appearances will be Dr. Elizabeth Weir (Torri Higginson), who has been reduced to recurring in the new season, and Dr. Carson Beckett (Paul McGillion), who will killed in Season Three’s “Sunday”.
