CANSTRUCTION 2007 CHARITY AUCTION IS NOW OPEN!
Legends Memorabilia has once again teamed up with Industrial Brand Creative to enter the CANSTRUCTION 2007 charity event in support of the foodbanks of Greater Vancouver.
Each year Legends Memorabilia/Stargateprops runs a charity auction to raise funds for the purchase of cans of food which we use to build a unique 10′ x 10′ structure made entirely from cans of food! After the displays have been displayed to the public for one week, they are dismantled and all of the food is donated to the local foodbanks.
This is our fourth year and in all previous years we have come away as prizewinners in the process of donating more than 40,000 food items!
• In 2004 our structure was called ‘Cans Film Festival’ and this entry won us the prestigious ‘Can Do’ award.
• 
In 2005 we built ‘More than Just Peanuts’ and won the ‘Juror’s Favourite’ award — the top prize in the competition. This structure was also was also an award winner at the National event where we competed with more than 50 cities throughout North America!
• In 2006 our structure was called ‘Catch Me If You Can’ and once again we brought home the ‘Juror’s Favourite’ award.
But none of this is possible with you, the fans of Stargate who have so generously supported this project for the past 3 years. This year we have the support of the Stargate Production Studio as well as the principal cast members of SG-1 to bring you some unique items to bid on. We shall be offering autographed set-worn items from ‘the original 6’: RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON, MICHAEL SHANKS, AMANDA TAPPING, CHRIS JUDGE, DON S. DAVIS & TERYL ROTHERY.
But the highlight of this great charity event is a very special VIP Stargate Studio Tour for 2 people!
Through the generosity of STARGATE PRODUCTIONS, we are delighted to bring to this auction the ultimate dream for Stargate fans: Your own personal and private VIP tour of the Stargate production studios!
This tour (for you and a friend) will occupy a full day of Stargate related entertainment that will be sure to leave an indelible mark in your memory! This will be your opportunity to look behind the scenes of both Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis as you get a personal insight into the many factors that have made this historical series so great.
Your private VIP tour will have many memorable highlights including:
• A visit to the SGC production set which includes the Gateroom, the master Control Centre, offices used by O’Neill, Hammond and Landry; as well as the labs, medical center and more.
• The Stargate: Atlantis Gateroom production facility and stage.
• Various other sets including Daedalus, Goa’uld Mothership, Puddle Jumper, Wraith Hive, the Ori set and more.
• Behind the scenes tour of the Costume and Art departments.
• Visits to off-studio location sets.
Other highlights will include personal visits with some of the stars (subject to their availability) as well as various production crew members. You will also have photo ops, autographs, set-used memorabilia gifts and more. We’ll also fit lunch in there too!
Your VIP tour will be arranged for a date that is mutually convenient to you and the studio. Our recommendation is that the date of the tour should be before June 2007 as you will then be able to visit the studio whilst both SG-1 and Atlantis are being filmed.
