Doig Lands Role in "Ba'al"

Lexa Doig as Dr. Carolyn Lam

Stargate‘s Lexa Doig (Dr. Carolyn Lam) is filming a new movie for the Sci Fi Channel called Ba’al. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie stars Jeremy London (7th Heaven) as “a rogue Smithsonian archaeologist, dying of cancer, who will stop at nothing to retrieve the ancient amulets of the storm god Ba’al, which could cure him or make him a god.”

The film is being directed by Paul Ziller (who directed Doig’s husband and Stargate‘s Dr. Daniel Jackson, Michael Shanks, in Swarmed, as well as the Stargate Atlantis Season Three episode “The Real World”) and produced by CineTel Films. They are using Insight Film Studios in and around Vancouver (September 26 through October 22) to make the film, which will be part of Sci Fi Channel’s Saturday night programming late next year. The movie also co-stars Stefanie von Pfetten of Dragon Boys.
