Michael Shanks Moderating Burn Notice Panel

Michael Shanks as VictorStargate star Michael Shanks will be the moderator for the first ever Burn Notice panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con!

The press release put out made a mistake that Shanks will be returning next year for a four-episode arc, but Maureen Ryan of the Chicago Tribune confirmed on her Twitter, “Michael Shanks is NOT returning to #BurnNotice. Lil’ mistake there in press release. He IS moderating Comic-Con panel #SDCC.”

Participating in the panel: “Cast members Bruce Campbell who stars as Sam Axe, everyone’s favorite washed-up military intelligence officer; Seth Peterson who plays Nate Westen, Michael’s (Jeffrey Donovan) brother; Ben Shenkman who plays Strickler, a smooth-talking, gregarious freelance spy broker; and Jay Karnes who plays Brennen, an arms dealer who has a vendetta against Michael upon ruining a lucrative deal he had in the works. No stranger to Comic-Con, Campbell is a fan favorite from such hits as Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2. Along with the four stars, creator/writer/executive producer Matt Nix and co-executive producer/writer Alfredo Barrios Jr. will give an insider’s look at the writing process and share behind-the-scenes anecdotes. Fans will get an exclusive sneak peek at an upcoming Season 3 episode of the show.”

The time for the panel is not yet known, but according to Ace Show Biz, it will occur on Thursday, July 23. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes open for confirmation of the time and room number, so make sure to visit Solutions again soon.

ETA: Wow! We just got word of the time and place from ComingSoon.net! Thursday, July 23, 2:30 pm-3:30 pm, Ballroom 20!

  1. Wow, that’s the first news I’ve heard that makes me sorry I’m not going. 🙂 Not that I’d get into the panel anyway — it seems impossible to get into them these days.

  2. I suppose we can expect some witty banter between him and Bruce Campbell. It seems that the Burn Notice crowd got a new family member when Michael came aboard. It should be lots of fun.
