Monday, August 1	HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JASON MOMOA! You’ll be seeing Jason soon in US movie theaters on August 19 when Conan the Barbarian is released! He’s been talking sequels, too, but before that, he’ll probably be seen next in the new action-crime-thriller film starring Sylvester Stallone, Bullet to the Head, currently slated for a 2012 release. The MICHAEL SHANKS starrer Arctic Blast is being released on DVD in the UK today! Story: “When a solar eclipse sends a colossal blast of super chilled air towards the earth, it sets off a catastrophic chain of events that threatens to engulf the world in ice!”

Friday, August 5	Attention, fans of DAVID HEWLETT! Today is a double feature day as two of the films that he’s in make their US theater debuts! First, there’s the reboot sci-fi film Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which is being released nation-wide. Then, there’s the limited release of The Whistleblower.
