Tonight on Lifetime, PAUL McGILLION can be seen in the premiere of Magic Beyond Words, the J.K. Rowling biopic. McGillion is playing Rowling’s father in this movie that chronicles the beginnings of the Harry Potter series of books that have been made into a billion-dollar movie franchise. It’s a true rags to riches story, so make sure to tune in at 8 PM ET.

 One of the biggest events in Stargate’s past has been the San Diego Comic Con. It’s unbelievable that we won’t have any Stargate panels to report about or decorated buses to photograph this year. But, we can follow what the cast members are now doing! Make sure to visit the SDCC website and if you have more to add here, please let us know in the comment section below.

Tonight is Preview Night! There will be a screening of the pilot for J.J. Abrams’ Alcatraz in which PAUL McGILLION has a part. The screenings start at 6 PM and include Alcatraz, Person of Interest, The Secret Circle, and Supernatural: The Anime Series.
Alcatraz –From executive producer J. J. Abrams (Super 8, Fringe) and showrunner Elizabeth Sarnoff (Lost) comes Alcatraz, a chilling new drama revolving around America’s most infamous prison and onetime home to the nation’s worst criminals. The series stars Sarah Jones (Sons of Anarchy), Jorge Garcia (Lost), Jonny Coyne (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life), Parminder Nagra (ER), Santiago Cabrera (Heroes), and Jason Butler Harner (Fringe), with Robert Forster (Jackie Brown) and Sam Neill (Jurassic Park). Abrams, Bryan Burk (Super 8, Fringe), and Sarnoff are executive producers; Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt (both Kyle XY) are co-executive producers. 3:00-4:00 Game of Thrones Panel and Q&A session— Based on the bestselling fantasy book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, HBO’s Game of Thrones concluded its 10-episode debut season on June 19. The series, executive produced and written by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, follows kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and noblemen as they vie for power in a land where summers span decades and winters can last a lifetime. AMANDA TAPPING’s Sanctuary returns to Fridays on Syfy for its fourth season premiere episode tonight at 10/9c. In “Tempus,” “Magnus goes to 1898 London to try to stop Adam Worth from saving his daughter, which would alter the current time line.” Stargate veterans are both in the regular cast and among the guest stars, including IAN TRACEY as Adam Worth and PETER WINGFIELD as James Watson.
