''The official summary is not yet available as this episode has yet to air in the United States.''
Daniel and Vala have been saved from the fanatical Ori followers, but — because their savior is an Ori priest and they're still trapped in "borrowed" bodies in a distant galaxy — they're not exactly home-free. Instead, the priest transports them to the Ori's holy realm of Celestis, where Daniel begins to uncover the secrets of the mysterious gods.

== Episode Spoilers ==
What he learns is not reassuring. The Ori seem to be Ascended Beings who believe that they deserve unquestioning worship and devotion from all humans. They also consider the more benevolent teachings of their Ascended rivals, the Ancients, to be evil.

The following is a collection of spoilers gathered from various sources. Keep in mind that these interpretations are subject to change.
For millennia, the Ancients have protected the humans of the Milky Way from domination by the Ori, but Daniel's activation of the communications device has alerted the Ori to the vast numbers of unbelievers in Earth's home galaxy. As a result, the Ori have begun to send out missionaries, called Priors. Armed with the power of their Ascended masters and convinced that heathen lives are worthless, the Priors' goal is to convert the entire galaxy to the worship of the Ori — by any means necessary.

“Origin” is the religious dogma preached by the Priors, missionaries of the Orii, “fiery gods” from a distant galaxy. They have been given the knowledge that our galaxy has not been “enlightened” and have come to convert us or destroy us.
As Daniel realizes that Earth is about to find itself on the wrong end of an intergalactic crusade, word reaches Stargate Command that a mysterious evangelist has arrived on a planet formerly occupied by the Goa'uld. Hoping to prevent the recently enslaved humans there from falling prey to what sounds suspiciously like another false god, Mitchell sets off to investigate. Teal'c stays at SGC, where he and Landry are deep in treaty negotiations with Gerak, the power-hungry new Jaffa leader.

Daniel and Vala have been rendered unconscious by an alien device and all the efforts of Dr. Carolyn Lam (Lexa Doig) and Dr. Bill Lee (Bill Dow) have been for naught. As they attempt to find the medical and technical answers to save them, Mitchell, Dr. Lindsay, and SG-12 encounter a Prior on the planet P3X-421 who is preaching in a tent. The Prior has shown command of nature, making vegetables grow in less than an hour before the SGC personnel’s very eyes. Mitchell recruits the Prior to return to the SGC with him with the hope that he will release Daniel and Vala from the grips of the device. The Prior takes the invitation, but once seeing that the device will not release them, simply states, “It is the will of the Orii.”
Mitchell soon returns with an Ori Prior, who zealously preaches about the wondrous powers of the Ori to anyone who wants to listen — and to anyone who doesn't, for that matter. Meanwhile, after Daniel refuses to worship the Ori, he and Vala are returned to the village, where they are to be the bait in a deadly trap to catch other heretics. After that, they are to be burned to death — with no interruptions this time. When their bodies, still at Stargate Command, go into cardiac arrest, it's up to Mitchell and Teal'c to find a way to bring them home.

The Orii are ascended beings who collect themselves in a wall of fire. Individual Orii take temporary possession of a host, a Doci, a human spiritual leader. Daniel’s mind is linked so that he experiences a face-to-face confrontation with a Doci and an Orii on the planet Celestis in a distant galaxy. The message is clear: turn to “Origin”, or be reduced to dust. As his confrontation progresses, his body experiences extreme stress, adding to Dr. Lam’s consternation.

Meanwhile, Gerak, former First Prime of the Goa'uld Atum, has been invited to the SGC to meet with Gen. Landry (Beau Bridges) and Teal'c. Accompanying Gerak (Louis Gossett, Jr.) is Vat'yir, another Jaffa formerly of Atum’s ranks, and an escort of six additional Jaffa. Gerak ceremoniously comes down the ramp, his path flanked by the six Jaffa. Teal'c is not amused.

Gerak has taken a role in leading the Free Jaffa Nation, but Landry and Teal'c realize his goals do not mesh with theirs. Landry attempts to persuade Gerak that they must continue to work together or all that they have worked for will deteriorate into chaos.

April Telek announced on her Bboard at “Galaxy of Stars” that she will begin shooting her role as an Ancient named Sallis this coming week. The episode scheduled to be filmed next week is “Origin” (on/about April 4-16). According to Telek’s announcement, “She is an Ancient, and married to Harrid (played by the extremely talented Steve Park), and without warning, their bodies are taken over by Vala and Daniel. Because there is no back story established for Harrid and Sallis, and because Steve and I have basically just had to ”mirror" Michael and Claudia thus far, I can’t tell you much more at this point."

Telek is enthusiastic about filming for Stargate SG-1 and closed her announcement with this “P.S.”: "Regarding the costumes and set...BEAUTIFUL!! They truly are a work of art! I wear a long, very low cut, middle ages style frock, that’s got a boned bodice and laces up the back corset style! It’s heavy (it probably weighs 10-15 lbs) but it makes me feel like I’m definately from “another world”. The sets...to die for, and the cast, EVEN LOVELIER THAN YOU COULD IMAGINE!!"

Guest Characters: Vala, Dr. Carolyn Lam, Dr. Bill Lee, Dr. Lindsay, Gerak, Vat'yir, Harrid, Sallis, the Doci, and two Priors
(Richard Dean Anderson (Gen. Jack O'Neill) is said to have filmed a scene for this episode in Los Angeles)

Précis

Daniel and Vala, still in the grips of the Ancient communications device, encounter a Prior, a zealous missionary and highly evolved human with zero tolerance for unbelievers. While this Prior takes them to meet his fiery gods the Ori, another Prior arrives in the Milky Way galaxy to begin preaching Origin, the path to enlightenment. Those who stray from the path...die.
