Summary
The Asgard were first met by Dr. Daniel Jackson and Captain Samantha Carter on the planet Cimmeria in the episode 2.06 "Thor's Chariot". They are called the "Roswell greys" by Carter. The Asgard have been Earth's most trusted ally in the wars against the Goa'uld and Replicators and have given Earth a tremendous amount of advanced technology, mostly for Earth's intergalactic spaceships, as thank you gifts for helping to save their race from certain annihilation.

| The Beliskner-Class Ship is the name for the most commonly seen type of Asgard ship. It is named after the first ship of its type seen in the series, the Beliskner, commanded by Thor, Supreme Commander of the Asgard Fleet. Its role in the Asgard fleet is similar to that of the Beliskner-class ship, as an exploratory/science vessel, as opposed to the O'Neill-class Warship.
