Geopolitical Structure and History

The area near the Stargate is in a clearing in a fairly wooded area. The planet was inhabited at one time because ruins of building still stood some kilometers from the Stargate. That area was near a cliff that led to a large body of water, like a sea.

No information is known about the individuals who lived there at one time. A Goa'uld transport was passing by the planet. It held a prisoner, the Reol named Yayayeii. He broke out of his cell and sabotaged the guidance system, causing the transport to crash on the planet. The Reol took advantage of the confusion after the crash to escape the Jaffa.

While the Jaffa were pursuing the Reol, SG-1 was on a routine reconnaissance of the planet. Yayayeii ran into the team but was uncertain if they were friend or foe. His species had a unique defense mechanism, they could camouflage themselves to look like anyone or anything, and gave off a chemical that transformed the memories of those they encountered.

The Reol used this ability when he met SG-1, and made them believe he had been a member of their team for the past three missions. He came up with the name of Lt. Tyler for himself by seeing "Tyler, Texas" on an MRE. The team, including "Lt. Tyler" attempted to make it back to the Stargate, but Tyler was wounded. O'Neill stayed behind with him while the rest of the team tried to hold the Stargate against the enemy Jaffa. O'Nell ordered Major Carter, Doctor Jackson, and Teal'c to return to the SGC and get reinforcements.

Once they returned to the base, the three members of SG-1 were quarantined after describing a team member that had never existed. O'Neill remained behind with Tyler, staying the night with him in the ruins of a building. O'Neill rigged booby traps around their hiding place. Eventually Tyler revealed his true identity to Jack. In the meantime, the SGC had discovered what happened and eventually allowed SG-1 to return for O'Neill, taking out several Jaffa at the Stargate with missiles guided by a UAV. Together the team and "Lt. Tyler" took out the remaining Jaffa. Tyler returned to his xenophobic people, and SG-1 returned to the SGC.
