Members of the press were given a screening of Brad Wright’s Stargate: Continuum<\/em><\/a> yesterday in Vancouver. SCI FI WIRE’s John Sullivan<\/a> spoke with the movie’s writer after the screening and revealed some spoilers for the movie in his report.<\/p>\n

Wright told Sullivan, “It’s much more fun in some ways to do a movie, because the story can evolve the way it’s supposed to. It doesn’t have to owe anything to the episode before or the episode after. That was the fun part, to actually write a movie and not just a long episode.” <\/p>\n

Sullivan concludes the report, “With more time and more resources to work with, Wright and the producers and cast of Stargate: Continuum<\/em> have taken their world and characters in new directions. They’ve also pushed the envelope for what the Stargate franchise can do as MGM considers whether to do more movies or create a third series.”<\/p>\n
