Today, August 5, is the day that two movies in which Stargate star DAVID HEWLETT<\/strong><\/a> has roles are opening on the big screen!<\/p>\n

You’ll see him in The Whistleblower<\/em> in a limited release (in California) in which he plays UN representative that’s involved in a sex scandal! The movie’s description at Yahoo! Movies<\/a>: “Inspired by actual events, Kathy is an American police officer who takes a job working as a peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia. Her expectations of helping to rebuild a devastated country are dashed when she uncovers a dangerous reality of corruption, cover-up and intrigue amid a world of private contractors and multinational diplomatic doubletalk.” If you’re in California, make sure to check out the times at the Yahoo! site.<\/p>\n

In wide release is the highly-anticipated reboot of the Planet of the Apes<\/em> franchise. We’ve posted an extended trailer<\/a> that features Hewlett in his Apes<\/em> role, so we won’t spoil it here just in case you’d like to go into the theater spoiler-free. Yahoo!
