ABC’s Desperate Housewives<\/em> will be broadcasting its 100th episode this Sunday, January 18, at 9 PM ET\/PT, according to both TV Guide<\/a> and USA Today<\/a>, and Stargate<\/em> star Beau Bridges<\/a> has the honor of playing a pivotal guest starring role in this special episode, “The Best Thing That Ever Could Have Happened.”<\/p>\n

The story is told with flashbacks<\/a>: “When neighborhood handyman Eli Scruggs (Beau Bridges) dies, the housewives realize just how much he affected their lives. Gaby recalls how Eli helped her make friends when she arrived; Lynette remembers how he came to her aid when she was overwhelmed and neglecting Penny; Susan reflects on how he lent her his shoulder to cry on each time a man walked out on her; Edie looks back on their special friendship; and Bree thinks fondly of his small gesture that had a big effect.”<\/p>\n

DH<\/em> star Nicollette Sheridan, who plays Edie Britt on the show, told USA Today<\/em> about making the 100th episode milestone, “It’s my favorite episode to date. Beau Bridges is filled with a kindness and generosity of spirit. I was honored to share the screen with him\u2014and a little embarrassed to be so scantily clad.”<\/p>\n
