==Summary==

Latal was a Free Jaffa, formerly a servant of System Lord Cronus, and the leader of his people on the planet Kallana. After the defeat of the System Lords, the Free Jaffa swore that would never serve false gods again. When a Prior of the Ori sought their servitude to the Ori, Latal spoke for his people and asked the Prior to leave. The Prior refused and Latal and his group fired upon him with their staff weapons. The Prior thrust them all so far into the air that they disappeared from his sight. All of the Jaffa living on the planet were killed and Kallana was collapsed into a singularity by the Ori in an attempt to establish a foothold in the Milky Way Galaxy through a Super Stargate powered by the Kallanan singularity.
