Summary
Lt. Clare Tobias was an NID operative under the command of Col. Maybourne. She worked on a secret base off-world as part of a team covertly obtaining contraband technology from the Asgard, the Tollan and other races. Tobias was also a scientist and was in charge of reverse engineering alien technology too large to be smuggled through the Stargate. She had applied for a position at the SGC, but lost to Maj. Samantha Carter. Tobias was captured and imprisoned as a result of Col. Jack O'Neill's sting operation. (3.18 "Shades Of Grey")
