According to this entry in David Hewlett’s blog, Thursday, 5 October 2006 will be the last day of filming for Stargate: SG-1 as a regular series, unless MGM, with fan support, succeeds in securing a Season 11 in some other form.

We have every expectation the SG-1 story will continue in one way or another, but for today we’d like to send our gratitude to all of the cast and crew for 10 wonderful years! We also wish everyone involved in the production the best of luck in their new endeavors. It must be so hard to say goodbye, not knowing if you will all work together again. But we hope and trust you will be back in just a few months to film the next incarnation of SG-1, and that a new spin-off will arise not long after that.
