Wildly successful in achieving its goals, SaveDanielJackson/Solutions soon became a news and information site until eventually Stargate-SG1-Solutions (http://www.stargate-sg1-solutions.com)grew from that campaign website. My Stargate experience began with the movie way back when, then Showtime began to produce Stargate SG-1 a few years later. Already a subscriber to that channel, I immediately jumped onto the SG-1 bandwagon with the first episode, Children of the Gods.
While waiting for Season 5 to start, I started surfing the web in search of news and info about Stargate, and discovered fan fiction and fandom in general.
Several months laters, I read that Michael Shanks was leaving the show. Once I'd learned the true reasons behind his departure, I'd joined others in support of a campaign to SaveDanielJackson (http://www.savedanieljackson.com). I mean, Stargate without the guy who opened it?? Ridiculous!
