As the entire galaxy falls under a new threat from the Goa'uld, Daniel must once again decide whether to risk death or ascend when Oma Desala gives him a second chance.  Meanwhile, Carter is having second thoughts about marrying Pete, and Jack is dating a woman from the Pentagon.
It's coming close to the climax of the battle for freedom for the Rebel Jaffa as they all gather and try to take the holy city of Ta'kara. Other plotlines are explored that include Anubis, Oma Desala, the Others and the Ancients. This episode leads directly into Threads.
