SG-1 discover a clan of fierce, skilled female Jaffa warriors who struggle to survive. Their leader Ishta and the others need access to symbiotes to keep themselves alive, but Carter offers them an alternative. Tretonin, the drug which Teal'c and Bra'tac use to keep them alive. Carter escorts a group of volunteer warriors to the SGC to test the drug and Daniel tries to help young Nesa to find her way into adulthood while Ishta and Teal'c find they have much in common.
