9.01 "Avalon Part 1" O'Neill is promoted and appoints his replacement at the SGC, Gen. Hank Landry. Newcomer Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell finds himself commander and sole member of SG-1. When the roguish Vala asks Daniel for help in finding an Ancient treasure linked to Arthurian Avalon, the makeshift team of Mitchell, Daniel, Teal'c, and Vala set off on a grand adventure which quickly turns life-threatening.
