Summary
Col. Marshall Sumner was assigned as the military leader of the Stargate Atlantis Expedition Team, under the civilian commander, Dr. Elizabeth Weir.
Character Biography
Described as a hardened, autocratic officer with a hair-trigger temper, Sumner suffered from being second-in-command to the civilian Dr. Elizabeth Weir but was an inspired commander who was committed to the mission. Col. Sumner was killed in action on his first mission through the Stargate in the Pegasus Galaxy.
