Michael Shanks guest stars Thursday in his first of a four-episode arc on the USA Network’s Burn Notice. It premieres on USA Network at 10 pm/9 pm Central and on USAHD, the USA High Definition network, at 10 pm EDT/7 pm PDT. Burn Notice follows the adventures of former spy Michael Westen, now living in Miami after having received a “burn notice” removing him from service. Michael Shanks plays Victor, a spy working for the Burn Notice Organization who’s been assigned to try to get control of Westen and bend him to the will of the organization.
Two great previews of Shanks’s role in the show are up. An exclusive clip of his first scene in the episode is here at MSOL. This shows Victor as an outwardly playful man with a ruthless edge and the guts to go head-to-head with Westen. A second clip, here at MovieWeb.com, shows Victor lounging on the beach and seeming to have the complete upper hand over Westen.
According to the original casting sides, Shanks will film the other 3 episodes he’ll appear in from early September through early October. Those episodes will air in 2009.
