Season 9 starts filming 28 Feb 05

According to the British Columbia Film Commission, production on Stargate SG-1’s 9th season begins on 28th February and continues until 17th October 2005. This scheduling casts doubt on the ability of Amanda Tapping to participate in fifteen episodes out of twenty in the season as hoped. Tapping’s baby isn’t due until mid-March.

  1. Also absent is Michael Greenburg’s name. Do you think this is just an oversight or has Gekko left production?

  2. SG-1 WONT BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU, RICK. PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT. YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!ALSO ,HEAL QUICK..TEAM SG-1, CAROL D.

  3. Hey, loved this years finale, psyched about new seaon. Keep up the good entertaing guys! Get well soon General!

  4. My God SG1 just keeps getting better. I like the whole cast and ethos, but to see Jack on screen is a delight. RDA simply has to come back even in half capacity. Many magic moments. It’s too soon to stop!

  5. I too hope RDA is back for some guest appearances or cameos in Season 9. At this point in time, there are no hints, rumours or news – official or unofficial – that he will be making any more appearances in Stargate SG-1. But we can still hope that RDA does come around to the idea and that we do see him again.

  6. There is some confusion over whether filming starts Monday 28 Feb or if there will be a delay of a couple of weeks before the actors are in front of the cameras.

Obviously, this will affect how many episodes Amanda Tapping misses while she is on maternity leave.

  7. It’s confirmed by Mr. Chris Judge himself, filming for Season 9 begins 28-February. Fans attending the Dallas convention this past weekend report Michael and Chris will have a long flight home due to bad weather in Vancouver. Chris was overheard mildly grumbling about the 6:15 a.m. set call. Poor boys! I’d hate to be their poor alarm clocks. 😉
