ABC’s Desperate Housewives will be broadcasting its 100th episode this Sunday, January 18, at 9 PM ET/PT, according to both TV Guide and USA Today, and Stargate star Beau Bridges has the honor of playing a pivotal guest starring role in this special episode, “The Best Thing That Ever Could Have Happened.”
The story is told with flashbacks: “When neighborhood handyman Eli Scruggs (Beau Bridges) dies, the housewives realize just how much he affected their lives. Gaby recalls how Eli helped her make friends when she arrived; Lynette remembers how he came to her aid when she was overwhelmed and neglecting Penny; Susan reflects on how he lent her his shoulder to cry on each time a man walked out on her; Edie looks back on their special friendship; and Bree thinks fondly of his small gesture that had a big effect.”
DH star Nicollette Sheridan, who plays Edie Britt on the show, told USA Today about making the 100th episode milestone, “It’s my favorite episode to date. Beau Bridges is filled with a kindness and generosity of spirit. I was honored to share the screen with him—and a little embarrassed to be so scantily clad.”
Bridges can next be seen in personal appearances at two conventions coming up in February: Hollywood Collectors & Celebrities Show in Burbank (February 14-15, 2009) and Mega Con in Orlando (February 27 – March 1, 2009).
