NEW ORDER PART 1: THE BREADBOX EDITION

Nialla’s Breadbox parody for the first half of Season 8’s premiere, New Order Part 1, is up here.

We’ve moved Nialla’s stories to their own space here on Solutions now that they include Season 8 parodies; the new index location is here. The old URL’s will work for now!

Join us in welcoming a new season of hilarious parodies from Nialla!

WIKI SEARCHABLE TRANSCRIPTS

We’re making great strides in our efforts to move all of the episode transcripts from Solutions and from our partner Stargatefan into our wiki knowledge base. To see all those moved so far in one big page, go here:

Transcripts Category Page

or to see an index by season, with Stargatefan links, go here:

Transcript Index Page

The big advantage of having them in the wiki is that they’re all searchable. Trying to remember all the episodes where Daniel says “I have no idea”? Just type this: “I have no idea” (with quotes) into the search box, hit search, and see the list!

In addition, on our wiki Main Page we have a new link to New Pages so you can see what new research articles we’ve entered for your use and enjoyment. The wiki continues to grow and we hope you’re finding it useful.

SG-1, ATLANTIS RATINGS UPDATES

[Updated on 13 September with ratings for 8th episodes of both series.]

Ratings are in for the most recent three episodes of SG-1 and Atlantis; note that episodes 6 and 7 for both shows were up against US coverage of the Olympic Games. For episode 8, SG-1 clearly beat Atlantis in spite of SciFi’s annoying new ploy of going straight into Atlantis without showing the SG-1 credits, preview, or commercials, expressly for the purpose of trying to boost the ratings for the first few minutes of Atlantis. The real difference might be even greater.

So far the ratings for Stargate SG-1 Season 8 are as follows:
9 July: 8.01 “New Order” — 2.43
23 July: 8.03 “Lockdown” — 1.97
30 July: 8.04 “Zero Hour” — 2.16
6 August: 8.05 “Icon” — 2.2
13 August: 8.06 “Avatar” — 1.8
20 August: 8.07 “Affinity” — 1.8
27 August: 8.08 “Covenant” — 2.1

For Stargate: Atlantis Season 1 they are:
16 July: 1.01 “Rising” — 3.2
23 July: 1.03 “Hide and Seek” — 2.47
30 July: 1.04 “38 Minutes” — 2.45
6 August: 1.05 “Suspicion” — 2.17
13 August: 1.06 “Childhood’s End” — 1.9
20 August: 1.07 “Poisoning the Well” — 1.8
27 August: 1.08 “Underground” — 1.9

S8 SPOILERS: CITIZEN JOE

These spoilers have been out for a while now but we’re just getting to posting them. Somehow we weren’t inspired…

A man shows up at O’Neill’s house with a gun and accuses O’Neill of ruining his life. His name is Joe and he’s just an average guy from the mid-west. He knows way too much about Jack and the Stargate program, and it turns out the reason is that seven years earlier he picked up a strange stone covered with glyphs at a garage sale. Ever since, he’s been having visions in which he sees SG-1’s missions through O’Neill’s eyes. His belief in the visions and his desire to write them down and figure out what they mean have ruined his marriage and his business. He finally tracks down O’Neill to confront him.

This episode features clips from previous episodes that represent Joe’s visions.
