Stargate SG-1 Cast Interviews: John Noble
Noble Prize
[...] "For example, Lord of the Rings was certainly a huge allegory for other issues in life. It dealt with 'Middle Earth', but it also dealt with issues that we deal with on a global basis at all times. And I suppose, in a sense, good science fiction always does that, or at least encourages us to think about how we live with other people, how we behave in the face of fear, in the face of strangers and strange circumstances. That's probably the reason it appeals to us so much, because what happens in the real world is that we are inclined to identify according to our race, culture, creed or religion. " [...] "Stargate SG-1 is a legendary show, and it's often on in my house. My son is a fan, and some time ago he said, 'Dad, come and watch this, this is a really good show...' so we did!' He's nineteen, and he was really excited when I said I was going to be on Stargate SG-1." [...] "It's a fun episode. It's back in Camelot, so it involves those old stories and legends. I love all of that stuff. It's interesting the way they meld things together in the show. It's been going for a long time, and continuing to be inventive is pretty extraordinary. I loved it." [...] "I have to say that working on Stargate SG-1 was a joy. Everyone involved, all the way through the organization from the cast, to the producers and the people who were doing wardrobe and make-up, are so friendly and supportive. It was lovely - one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had as a guest actor." Visit Titan Magazines to order your back issue and read the entire interview.
