'''SPOILERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS THIS EPISODE IS IN PRODUCTION.'''

From [http://tv.ign.com/objects/142/14276047.html IGN, April 2010]:

The situation is dire for Lt. Scott, Eli, Chloe and Greer. While trapped beneath the ruins in an underground maze, ''Destiny'' jumped back into FTL leaving them behind. They must first find a way out of the ruins before they can figure out how to survive without the ''Destiny''.

Meanwhile, unable to turn the massive ship around, Dr. Rush and Colonel Young work to devise a plan to get the lost crew members back. But the situation grows even more desperate when Rush learns that ''Destiny'' will soon be leaving the present galaxy, stranding the away team forever.

From [http://spoilertv.blogspot.com/2009/09/stargate-universe-episode-117-lost.html Spoiler TV, September 1, 2009]:
As the crew on ''Destiny'' are working around the clock to recover Scott, Chloe, Eli and Greer, several power systems on the ship cut out. Crew members clash over why this could be, but the rescue effort continues. TJ, continuing her psych evaluations of the crew, learns that James, insecure about her rating in Young's eyes, is also not yet over her breakup with Scott. TJ attempts to tell Young about her pregnancy, but her nerve fails her at the last minute.

:REGINALD GREER is Ronald Greer's father. He was a Gulf War veteran and once won a medal for his service. His wife Angela stayed by his side, even when he grew mean and angry and abused Ronald (claiming that he was preparing him for a cruel world). He most likely was a victim of PTSD.
In the underground tunnels of the alien planet, Eli has come up with a risky plan to get the team back to ''Destiny'': Since they know ''Destiny'''s general trajectory, they can hopscotch from one planet to the next until they are in range of the ship—they just have to hope that they don't jump in the wrong direction. But unbeknownst to Eli, Rush has discovered an unnerving fact: ''Destiny'' is reaching the edge of a galaxy. This explains the power failures, but also means that the next time they drop out of FTL is their last and only chance to recover the recon team.

:YOUNG GREER (aged 12) suffered from his father's mental and physical abuse. He remained strong because of the love and support of his mother. Young Greer rescued both of his parents from a house fire.
Chloe finally decodes a map underground, and just as the team discovers the exit, a tremor hits and Greer is caught behind a rockslide, apparently dead. With walls crumbling around them, the other three have no choice but to leave him to save themselves.

From Audition Sides:
As ''Destiny'' drops out of FTL, Rush coordinates the same plan that Eli devised: ''Destiny'' crew members will check all gates in range in hopes of being close enough to hopscotch to the planet crew. Both the planet and ship crews begin the search, as Greer recovers consciousness and calls upon his childhood fears and traumas to motivate himself to dig out. He races to catch up with his team, but he is too late; they have taken the remote and left the planet. Alone, he is haunted by memories of abandonment, recalling his father's torment and his own heartbreaking decision to enlist in service.

:Greer is by himself, trapped in rubble on a planet. During his extreme ordeal, he is haunted by his father's ghost and memories of his life under his father's anger and mistreatment. He remembers his mother telling him that his father used to be a good man and a good father, but Ronald was too young to remember.
Amid the chaos of the rescue mission, TJ finds a moment alone with Young to tell him she's carrying his child. He is visibly upset, but assures her that they'll make it work somehow.

:Greer rescued his mother and father from a house fire, pulling each one out separately.
Eli delivers good and bad news to Chloe and Scott: Although they've been jumping in the wrong direction, they are in range of the planet where Rush was left behind. Eli thinks he could find information there that will help them get back to ''Destiny'', and although Chloe is against it, they investigate the alien shuttle on that planet. Eli can't make sense of it, but Chloe intuitively recognizes a star map. They head to the next planet, where ''Destiny'''s gate address comes into range. Meanwhile, the ''Destiny'' crew has found Greer. Both teams dial ''Destiny'' simultaneously and Rush, mere seconds ahead of Eli, steps through the gate and onto the ship. Eli is stumped as to why the dial didn't complete, tries again—and is again unsuccessful. As the ship crew take stock of their situation, Eli and the team realize that ''Destiny'', so close to the edge of the galaxy, has jumped back into FTL, and out of range of the gate.

:Later in his life, when he's 20 years old, Ronald visited his father in the veteran's hospital.

:Greer also remembers when he told his mother that he had enlisted in the service, the chance at winning a scholarship gone.

:In the meantime, Eli, Chloe, and Scott have sadly left Greer behind, thinking him dead as a result of the collapse. The three team mates are traveling from one planet to another. On one planet, they encounter a dinosaur-like creature that nearly kills them all before they escape through a hastily-dialed Stargate. They lose their Kino on a planet with a toxic atmosphere and must rely on dumb luck that the next address leads them to a safe planet. Scott volunteers to go first to test it out.

:Greer manages to dig himself out of the rubble, but it's too late; his team is gone. He builds a small camp near the Stargate, hoping that his team will return for him.

:Rush, James and their team are also traveling through the Stargate.

:Tamara and Young must face some very troubling and personal news. (She tells him about her pregnancy.)
