Summary
Secretary of Defense Arthur Simms was thrilled to visit the SGC and speak on behalf of the President of the United States in his absence. During the ceremony, Col. Jack O'Neill was beamed away by Thor of the Asgard so that Thor could tell Jack about the plans being made by the Asgard to include Earth in their Protected Planets Treaty that they had with the Goa'uld System Lords. Secretary Simms worked as a liaison between the SGC and the President concerning the terms of the Treaty and the pending Goa'uld attack as the result of the Goa'uld Cronus being attacked while on base. Fortunately, it all ended well with the Stargate Program remaining intact, Earth being placed on the Protected Planets Treaty, and Nirrti being taken away by Cronus and Lord Yu for attacking Cronus to fuel animosity between the Goa'uld and the Asgard and Tau'ri.
