Summary
Douglas Anders was the actor who was cast in the role of "Grell" in the cable TV show "Wormhole X-Treme" created by the alien Martin Lloyd, in the episode, 5.12 "Wormhole X-Treme". His character was supposed to be TV's version of SG-1's Teal'c, but instead of being an alien (i.e., Jaffa), "Grell" was a robot. "Grell" was Anders' introductory role.
When Wormhole X-Treme was revived, Anders continued with the role of Grell (10.06 "200"). When interviewed during filming of its 200th episode, Anders was quite philosophical—quoting Issac Asimov.
