Summary
Paynan is a native of Edora, a planet which was hit by a catastrophic meteor shower while SG-1 was visiting. (3.17 "A Hundred Days")
Character Biography
When SG-1 proposed that they evacuate through the Stargate until the meteor shower was over, Paynan dismissed their worries as unfounded. He was only one of a few who chose to stay and survived. Col. Jack O'Neill was stranded on the planet after the Stargate was struck by a meteor and buried. Although he was gruff with Jack at first, Paynan eventually warmed up to him and approved of Jack's intimate relationship with Laira. Eventually, all of the Edorans who had been evacuated returned and SG-1 was reunited. (3.17 "A Hundred Days")
