Michael Shanks Online, the official website for the Stargate star, has announced that Shanks has landed a recurring role in a new CBS show called The Eastmans.
The actor himself reported the news of his casting: “Have been cast in a CBS pilot called The Eastmans, as a recurring character. The show stars Donald Sutherland, Jacqueline Bisset and Saffron Burrows. I play a paramedic named Jack O’Brien, who is having an affair with Jacqueline Bisset’s character. The pilot is being produced by Warner Bros TV.”
The news of Donald Sutherland’s casting came from The Hollywood Reporter, which explained a bit more about the show and Sutherland’s character: “WBTV’s “Eastmans” revolves around a dysfunctional family of doctors. Sutherland will play the rogue and wealthy patriarch, a distinguished cardiologist.”
Here’s hoping that The Eastmans gets picked up! Congratulations, Mr. Shanks!
