Amanda Tapping (Stargate Atlantis) has won a Canadian Comedy Award for her performance in the short film Breakdown. The award was presented at a gala awards dinner last week at the Canadian Comedy Awards in London, Ontario, Canada.
Writer-director John Bolton and actor Winston Rekert were also nominated for their work on the film.
Breakdown is described as a “disaster film disaster” about a casting session gone horribly wrong. It was based on the award-winning short story by Canadian author Nancy Lee.
