Syfy.com Official Summary
The crew is startled when the missing shuttle, left on the alien planet with Dr. Caine and his defectors, appears alongside Destiny, matching her pace. Young realizes he should be welcoming his missing people with open arms, but their bizarre appearance, as well as some eerie quality, makes him and everyone else on board distrustful of them. TJ is eager to confirm her belief that her child was really on the planet with Caine, but he, like all of the outcasts, has no memory of life on the planet after Young and the crew left.
Eli decides to brave the stigma and talk to one of the prodigals, Val, but moments into their conversation, the woman begins to bleed from her nose. By the time TJ arrives on the scene, Val is dead from what an examination indicates is a blunt force trauma. Camile takes decisive action and uses her specialized training to hypnotize another one of the estranged passengers, who tells her that Val was hit by a tree being felled for shelter several months ago. She died on the planet—what she was doing walking and breathing on Destiny is a mystery. But no sooner does Camile gain this information but her patient begins shivering, and soon dies of hypothermia. Young and TJ surmise that all of the passengers must have died already, and herd them into the sick bay in an attempt to prevent a second death. But Young believes Dr. Caine might have additional information, and orders him to undergo hypnosis with Camile, under which influence he reveals that their first winter was incredibly cold. The only shelter they had was the damaged shuttle left by Young, and, one by one, they all died of extreme exposure. Caine wakens from his trance with the realization that he, too, is already dead—it's only a matter of time before his consciousness slips away a second time.
Scott, meanwhile has other worries: Chloe's transformation has not halted. While she is now more in control of her blackouts and behavior, her skin continues to molt into a scaly shell. She knows it won't be long before she's entirely transformed and will have to be dealt with as a threat. Greer visits her quarters, both to say goodbye, and to ask forgiveness for the eventual time when he will have to neutralize her. He also asks that, for Matt's sake, she break ties with him, which she selflessly does.

I really think there should be a rule that prevents a writer from putting out a script until all of the preceding scripts in air order have been released. - "We have an episode called 'Visitation.' I guess I may as well just say it ... The people who we left behind in 'Faith' on that planet ... they're back ... There's a lot of interesting reveals in that story. ... Again, we take it in a different direction than you would expect. And it is, I think, a lovely story." — Brad Wright, Blastr interview, November 2, 2010
- "Also watched a Day 2 mix of #209, Visitation. I had my reservations about this particular story early on but I must admit that the near-finished episode is both engaging and thought-provoking." — Joseph Mallozzi, November 5, 2010
