Summary
T'akaya is an alien of PXY-887 who has shape-shifting abilities. When the Goa'uld brought a group of Central Coast Salish Indians to her planet, her people vanquished the Goa'uld and became the protectors of the Salish. Her people adopted the identities of the Great Spirits the Salish revered. T'akaya's Great Spirit appearance was that of a wolf. She convinced Xe'ls, her people's leader, to bury the Stargate on their planet in order to prevent the NID from mining trinium. She said that her people had no need to travel among the stars and their desire to live in peace and harmony with the Salish took priority. (2.13 "Spirits")
