Summary
Maj. Lorne of SG-11 was the second in command to Col. Edwards at the mining operation on P3X-403 in the episode, 7.07 "Enemy Mine". Although he knew of the standard procedure to inform Dr. Daniel Jackson immediately upon finding archaeological artifacts, he failed to do so on this planet and, as a result, he might have been indirectly responsible for the death of his teammate, Lt. Ritter, after Ritter was attacked and killed by an Unas, evidence for whose presence on the planet was in the artifacts he had discovered, moved, and ignored.
