Geopolitical Structure and History

P3X-439 was a grassy planet with Ancient ruins, most notably the ruins of large statues depicting seated people. In a colonnade at the base of one of the statues was a Repository of Knowledge.

SG-2, apparently with SG-3, did an initial survey of the colonnade and brought back pictures of the writings on the ruins for Daniel Jackson to translate. Daniel Jackson believed that the monument contained a Repository of Knowledge, which may include listing the location of the Lost City, and thus means to defeat Anubis. He also hoped to be able to retrieve the data without subjecting someone to the eventually fatal download. SG-1 traveled to the planet to study the device with SG-3 and SG-5 as back up since the Goa'uld could arrive any moment.

Just as Daniel was able to translate the trigger to activate the device, Anubis attacked. Out of time, O'Neill subjected himself to the download from the Repository. He temporarily lost consciousness, and his teammates led him back to the Stargate, where SG-3 and SG-5 were covering their path of retreat. C-4 planted next to the Repository was detonated by Carter, destroying the device and ensuring it did not fall into Anubis's hands. The SG teams escaped back to Stargate Command.

Anubis visited the planet, frustrated that the repository was destroyed. He had his kull warriors execute the Jaffa responsible for the failed attack on the planet and left the planet.
