Jack O'Neill: Hobbies
Jack's hobbies are fishing (3.22 "Nemesis Part 1", 4.14 "The Curse", and 6.13 "Sight Unseen") and astronomy (1.15 "Singularity"). He keeps a telescope on the viewing deck of his house in Colorado Springs (1.01 "Children of the Gods Part 1"). Vacation time is usually spent at his cabin in Minnesota, by a pond where he likes to fish. Rumor has it that there aren't actually any fish in the pond, however. It is simply the act of fishing that he enjoys (4.14 "The Curse"). Jack has been known to juggle when bored silly, and took up pottery at one point (4.06 "Window of Opportunity"). He also likes cycling, and, during this same time period, was seen riding in the base corridors. He also plays chess (3.04 "Legacy", 3.18 "Shades of Grey").
He speaks passable Spanish (7.12 "Evolution Part 2"). He may speak Italian (3.05 "Learning Curve"), though with Jack one can never be quite sure without asking him directly. Sometimes, not even then. He learned to speak both Latin and the language of the Ancients (4.06 "Window of Opportunity").
