Summary
P3S-452 was a Goa'uld stronghold. A large amount of refined naquadah was stored on the planet, according to initial intelligence reports. General Bauer believed a well-armed strike force could go in and steal some of the element and ordered SG-3 on the mission. Major Waite, the team commander, was killed when the team encountered heavy resistence. Lt. Morrison was seriously injured while providing covering fire. Teal'c, assigned to the team at that time, believed he was able to retrieve a sufficient amount of the naquadah, so the troubled Bauer determined the mission was a success.
