Summary
Hertis was a member of the resistence movement against the Ori in their home galaxy. Tomin, now working with SG-1, approached him as a possible source of information about the real location of Ortus Mallum. Hertis was skeptical of Tomin, Daniel, and Vala's real motives, especially that they had not heard the rumors that the fires of Celestis had gone out. He told them to prove their true loyalties. Beamed aboard an Earth vessel cloaked above his home planet and not under Ori control, Hertis was convinced. He explained Ortus Mallum was believed to be on the same planet of Celestis.
