Geopolitical and Structural History
PY3-948 is where the Linvris, a minor league of Goa'uld who wished to challenge the system lords, met. Nine Goa'uld made up the Linvris. The Linvris were killed on the planet by a biowarfare "mine" created by Ma'chello and camoflauged to look like a Goa'uld page turning device.
Ma'chello's invention infiltrated the host, killing the Goa'uld parasite inside before leaving and dying. However, before death, the symptoms apparently caused havoc, including one of the Linvris using a ribbon device on the door to the meeting chamber. All nine were locked inside. The hosts eventually starved on the planet, trapped.
SG-1 eventually visited the world that looked long abandoned. Teal'c noted the Ancient Goa'uld design of the outer door mechanism to the chamber. Upon entering the meeting room, the team discovered the bodies and put on Level A hazmat gear. Unfortunately, that did not stop a remaining bioweapon from entering Daniel Jackson when he tried to use the "page turning device" to learn more of the Linvris's plans.
SG-1 brought the bodies back to Stargate Command where Dr. Fraiser performed autopsies on them. Daniel's infection manifested itself as schizophrenia, and he was treated on Earth for the mental illness before the device/creature transferred to Teal'c. The recovered Daniel was able to track Ma'chello's inventions down as the culprits and investigation of similar devices found on Machello's planet of P3W-924/P3C-599 led to the discovery a cure (although not before the rest of SG-1 and Dr. Fraiser were temporarily exposed to the bioweapons).
