Sometime before the Prometheus's final mission, Marks was promoted to Captain. He was one of the survivors of the Prometheus's destruction, although he injured his arm during evacuation. (9.15 "Ethon") Remarkably, Marks was at the rank of Major when he served on the maiden voyage of Earth's newest Daedalus-class starship, the Odyssey (9.16 "Off The Grid").
