As we previously reported, the Jack O’Neill character appears in the Stargate Universe episode 1.06 “Earth”. Today at the Creation Stargate Convention in Vancouver, actor Gary Jones (Walter Harriman), said he filmed SGU scenes with Richard Dean Anderson this week, confirming that RDA will reprise his role as O’Neill. Jones didn’t mention the episode name, but said his scenes take place in a redressed version of the SG-1 gate control room set. Jones did one day of filming with Anderson and is very proud to say he’s appeared in all three Stargate series. Based on the spoilers already released, it’s likely Anderson filmed for more than the one day Jones mentioned. Jones also said O’Neill has been promoted to three-star General, which would make him a Lieutenant General in the US Air Force.
