Stargate Universe Wins Best Dramatic Series Leo Award

The Gala Awards Ceremony for the 2010 Leo Awards occurred last night and newcomer Stargate Universe was selected as the Best Dramatic Series!

Between the two nights of ceremonies, SGU took home six trophies, while Amanda Tapping’s Sanctuary took home seven. Here’s the final list:

  1. I hope the actors of Universe aren’t feeling like this award secures them anything regarding the length of this series. Afterall, Stargate Atlantis won the more prestigeous People’s Choice award and look where it got them…canceled. Watch out if/when the producers of this series start having thoughts of a new spinoff…goodbye Universe when they do…no matter how many awards it wins. Can anyone say deja vu?
