Summary

Marks is a United States Air Force bridge crewmember of Earth's starships, having served on both the Prometheus and the Odyssey.

Character Biography

Lt. Marks was a crew member of the Prometheus and, using the spaceship's Asgard scanners, was instrumental in finding the underground storehouse of treasure left by Myrrdin (Merlin) of the Ancients in the Glastonbury Tor (9.01 "Avalon Part 1"). Sometime before the Prometheus's final mission, Marks was promoted to Captain. He was one of the survivors of the Prometheus's destruction, although he injured his arm during evacuation. (9.15 "Ethon")

Remarkably, Marks was at the rank of Major when he served on the maiden voyage of Earth's newest Daedalus-class starship, the Odyssey (9.16 "Off The Grid"). He was on the bridge of the Odyssey during the Ori's first wave of their invasion of the Milky Way Galaxy (10.01 "Flesh and Blood Part 3"). He also was present on the Odyssey when the Lucian Alliance attempted to capture the ship (10.09 "Company of Thieves"), and played a key role in getting the ship back into the SGC's hands after Col. Emerson was executed by Alliance rebels.
