Summary
The Enkarans were a people whom the SGC helped to relocate to a new planet which had special environmental conditions to accommodate their extreme sensitivity to UV radiation. Unfortunately, the new planet to which they were relocated had in the meantime been found by another civilization aimed at transforming it into an environment suited for their needs: needs which would mean the end of the Enkarans living on the planet.

Long ago, a Goa'uld transported people from the Enkaran homeworld in large spaceships. There was no stargate on that planet. The verbal history of generations of Enkarans later did not identify where their homeworld was located—it had become lost to them.
When the SGC met with the transplanted Enkarans, they were a dying people because they were extremely sensitive to the UV radiation of their planet. The first signs of their sensitivity to the harmful radiation was blindness. Hedrazar, one of the leaders of the Enkarans, had already become blind by the time SG-1 found them. If they couldn't be relocated, the Enkarans would all eventually die.
SG-1 and others from the SGC searched diligently to find a new planet for them to live, taking special care that the environmental conditions were safe for the peaceful and gentle people. Their new homeworld, designated as P5S-381 by the SGC, was somewhat colder than what they were used to, but considering they had very little time to find a place, it was gratefully accepted by the Enkarans.
It took two weeks to relocate the thousands of Enkaran refugees. They established hundreds of small villages and started to build a city. The SGC gave them a naquadah generator capable of powering their new city for about a year.
Hedrazar invited SG-1 to sit at a table of honor for their role in helping her people find a new homeworld. Her son, Eliam, and her daughter-in-law, Nikka, were expecting a baby. With a grateful heart, Hedrazar said that she wanted to name her grandchild after Jack O'Neill. He was noticeably touched and uncomfortable with the proposal. The rest of his team were quietly entertained by his reaction.
During the celebration, Caleb, the leader of a nearby village, brought a warning to Hedrazar's village. A large ship was spreading poison over the land and had already driven his village away from their new home in a run for their very lives. The ship was enormous, calculated by Carter to be two miles wide. The ship was spreading some form of toxin 20 miles wide. At the rate it was going, it would be at Hedrazar's village within 26 hours.
Teal'c remained on the planet to help the Enkarans plan their evacuation, while the rest of SG-1 returned to the SGC to determine what they could do to help the Enkarans. They felt a great responsibility for these people, having invested several weeks and missions to find this new planet. O'Neill had become quite attached to them and took the threat made by this ship very personally. General Hammond sent SG-5, SG-6, and SG-9 out to search for a new location for the Enkarans, but they knew that they didn't have enough time to find a planet and evacuate all of the Enkarans.
Carter determined that the ship was spreading microbes which would transform the planet which supported carbon-based lifeforms, such as Earth, into one which supported sulfur-based lifeforms. This meant certain death to all of the current life on the planet. The ship was a terraforming ship!
It was Daniel Jackson's opinion that the people of this ship were not meaning to attack the Enkarans because he felt that if they had wished to do so, they would have chosen a more direct approach. When the remainder of SG-1 returned to the planet to see how the evacuation preparations were going, they were shocked that Hedrazar had not made any move to save her people. She declared that if not of her people could go, then they'd all stay and die together. She declared that "nobody gets left behind"—a credo that O'Neill lived by and understood.
