Geopolitical Structure and History

The people of P3X-367 were dying of a great plague. It is unclear as to whether Nirrti created the plague or her arrival was merely coincidence. Nevertheless, she used the situation to her advantage, saving the people by giving them "treatments" to cure them of their sicknesses. Some developed unusual abilities, such as telekinesis or telepathy. They believed Nirrti to be a god come to save them. Instead, she was using Ancient technology to manipulate their DNA in her quest to find and create a hok'taur, an advanced human. She had performed similar experiments on other plantes, such as Hanka.

SG-4, led by Lt. Col. Evanov, was on a standard initial recon mission to the planet when they encountered Alebran, an individual who left Nirrti's fortress and discovered the rest of his village was already dead. Disenchanted by her lies, he begged SG-4 to help him. They returned to Earth with Alebran to report on Nirrti's activities, believing that since she still had few Jaffa, they could easily overtake her. Alebran died soon after arrival at the SGC, his body too damaged by Nirrti's manipulations.

SG-1 and Evanov were captured by Nirrti's limited forces, especially when encountering the artificially advanced native population, who still believed Nirrti to be their lord and savior. Nirrti in turn subjected Col. Evanov, Maj. Carter, and Jonas Quinn to the machine. Noting Jonas's unusual Kelownan DNA, Nirrti brought him to her private quarters and attempted to seduce him. He rebuffed her advances.

In the meantime, Col. Evanov died from his time in the device, and Carter was extremely ill. When it was Col. O'Neill's turn to be taken to Nirrti, he was able to convince Wodan and Eggar of Nirrti's evil intentions, and they killed her. Maj. Carter was returned to the device and her body returned to normal. The natives noted that after healing their brethren, they would destroy the device that had caused so much destruction.
