Facilities

Stargate Command (SGC) Base - Stargate Command is housed in the underground complex inside Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.
Antarctica - A second Stargate was found in Antarctica and a research facility was placed there. Not long afterwards, an Ancient Outpost was discovered there.
Off-World Bases - The SGC has built bases in the Milky Way Galaxy under the names Alpha Site, Beta Site, and Gamma Site.
Atlantis - The SGC provides support to the Atlantis Expedition in the Pegasus Galaxy.

Personnel

SGC Commanders - The SGC was first run by U.S. Air Force Gen. West (Stargate - The Movie), then by U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. George Hammond (Seasons One through Seven) (his command being shortly interrupted by U.S. Air Force Gen. Bauer [4.15 "Chain Reaction"]), and then briefly by the civilian appointee Dr. Elizabeth Weir (7.21 "Lost City Part 1" through 8.02 "New Order Part 2"). U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Jack O'Neill had command after that for one year (8.02 "New Order Part 2"), and currently the commander is Maj. Gen. Hank Landry (9.01 "Avalon Part 1").
SG Teams - SG teams are usually composed of four members, but some units have been known to have more or less. Each team is designated as SG-x, where x is the unit number. Some SG teams are designed for specific functions, such as first contact, military backup, engineering, archaeological expeditions, or diplomacy. Currently, there are at least 25 teams.
SGC Medical Staff - From headaches to major surgery, the SGC Medical Staff is employed to serve the personnel who work at the SGC. They handle everything from inoculations and pre- and post- mission medical checkups, to being on hand for base and off-world medical emergencies.
Stargate Technicians - There are several people who work behind the scenes to make the SGC run smoothly. Extremely important personnel are those who man the controls of the dialing computer and iris of the Stargate.
SGC Security Personnel - Stargate Command (SGC) has many people working at the base who never go through the Stargate, but are very important in ensuring the safety of the base.
SGC Department of Research and Development - Several scientists in diverse fields of study are employed at Stargate Command to support the various missions through the Stargate. From archeaology to zoology, there is probably a scientist on the base who can assist in the Stargate Program's mandate of establishing alien alliances and procuring advanced technology in the defense of Earth.

Homeworld Security

Homeworld Security - Homeworld Security is a new office run by the United States Air Force to oversee Earth's defenses against alien incursion. This also includes overseeing the building of the F-302 space-worthy intercept fighters and the Daedalus-Class spaceships.
F-302 Program - Pilots of the F-302s must be cleared for the Stargate Program because they are flying inceptors which are built with both Terran and alien technology and are asked to fight agsint alien incursions.
Daedalus-Class Ship - These spacecraft are built on Earth using both Terran and alien technology. The fleet of Daedalus-Class ships are called upon to defend and support the various bases throughout the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies.

Related Organizations

Pentagon - The Pentagon is the headquarters building for the U.S. Department of Defense and it is the base of operations for Homeworld Security. The Defense Secretary and the Joint Chiefs work in the Pentagon as well and answer to the President of the United States.
International Oversight Advisory (IOA) - This international group consists of representatives from the countries of Earth which have learned of the Stargate Program. Based on the foundations of the Gate Alliance Treaty (first put into place among the countries of the United States, Russia, Britain, France, and China when the Program was first disclosed by Gen. Hammond and Maj. Paul Davis), the organization funds and oversees the activities of Stargate Command (SGC).
Senate Appropriations Committee - This governmental body controls the budget of the Stargate Program, listed as item Area 52 on their roster.
NID - Also housed at the Pentagon is the NID, a civilian-run organization which oversees some of the Research and Development of the knowledge and technology brought through the Stargate. Oftentimes, the NID and the SGC have conflicts as to jurisdiction and it is necessary to call upon the President to give the final order.

Facilities Servicing Stargate Command

These facilities are linked to, but are not part of, Stargate Command:

Area 51 - While the SGC's mandate is to be more of a front-line defense of Earth, the NID's mandate includes the exploitation of the knowledge and technology brought through the Stargate. Usually, members of the SGC's Research and Development teams get first access to the alien technology, but most of the time, the objects are sent to the NID's Area 51 for further research.
Air Force Academy - This facility is the proving ground for Air Force cadets who are selected to join Stargate Command.
Air Force Academy Hospital - This hospital has the security clearances needed to treat alien refugees and SGC personnel who need long-term care due to exposure to alien lifeforms or technology. They also have alien technology at their disposal to treat these patients.
Peterson Air Force Base - This site not only provides transport for SGC personnel traveling around the world, but also services experimental and production intercept fighters, such as the X-301 and the F-302.
